Introduction
We, NM Beauty Industries B.V., use cookies to provide you with an optimised website experience. Furthermore, cookies help us to secure our website www.gisou.com and the subdomains us.gisou.com and uk.gisou.com and to analyse the frequency of our webpage views and general navigation. When you visit our website, we will place one or more cookies (small text files) on your device or use JavaScript, HTML 5 and other digital technologies to collect information from your computer, mobile handset or other device. Collectively we refer to these digital techniques as “cookies” in this Cookie Policy. The information collected by cookies may contain personal data, such as your IP address. In this Cookie Policy we will tell you what cookies we use and what their functions are. How we process personal data that we obtain from your device via the use of cookies is described in more detail in our Privacy Policy, which also provides information on how to exercise your privacy rights.
Which cookies do we use?
Necessary cookies
Our website cannot function properly without certain cookies. We use the following types of necessary cookies, also known as functional cookies:
- Consent: stores the user's cookie and marketing consent state for the current domain
- Cart & Currency: necessary for the shopping cart functionality and secure checkout/payment function on the website.
Analytical cookies
Analytical cookies, also known as statistical cookies, allow us to further develop and improve the functionality of our website by analysing your use of our website. In some cases they improve the speed with which we can process your request. These cookies channel back information to our data analytics tool, Google Analytics from Google LLC (Google). We receive information on how you use and interact with our websites as well as on the amount of time that you spend on it. We also collect basic information that relates to the request that is made from your browser when you visit the websites. These data may include information such as your last visit date and time, the duration of your visit, the timestamp of the browser request, your IP address and basic HTTP header information (like referral URL and user agent), information about the website you have previously visited as well as demographic information.
We have followed the Manual for Privacy Friendly Google Analytics Settings of the Dutch Data Protection Authority. This means, among other things, that we have instructed Google to delete the last three digits of your IP address (making it difficult to trace the IP address to a specific visitor) and that we have disabled the default settings for sharing data with Google. In addition, we have entered into a data processing agreement with Google. We do not use any other Google services in combination with the Google Analytics cookies. The limited information that is shared with Google through the use of Google Analytics can be transferred to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.
You can choose not to consent to the use of analytical cookies or withdraw your consent at any time as is explained in the section “Enabling, disabling, and deleting cookies” below.
Marketing cookies
Marketing cookies are used to track visitors across websites. The intention is to display ads that are relevant and engaging for the individual user and thereby more valuable for users, publishers and third party advertisers. You can choose not to consent to the use of marketing cookies or withdraw your consent at any time as is explained in the section “Enabling, disabling, and deleting cookies” below.
Session cookies, temporary cookies, first party and third party cookies
Session cookies are deleted automatically from your device when you close your web browser. Cookies that have a specific duration will remain on your device until that term expires, unless you manually delete them before the expiry date.
We place some of the cookies on your device ourselves (first party cookies), while other cookies are placed by third parties (third party cookies), see the column ‘Provider’ in the cookie tables above for specific information per cookie. Third party cookies belong to and are managed by other parties, e.g. Facebook, and may collect data outside of our website as well.
