This Bee Learning Course is a comprehensive and educational step-by-step program that gives you the tools to support our core mission — to raise awareness around the importance of bees and inspire a new generation of beekeepers.
The course is created for aspiring beekeepers and dives into bee basics and the importance of bees, beekeeping and how to maintain colonies and honey harvesting and the power of honey.
THE FAMILY SECRET
When Negin’s Dad was growing up, he and his brothers would go into the mountains in Iran with their father to practice beekeeping in nature. They studied the world of bees and respected the critical role beekeepers played in maintaining a bee colony’s health and helping them thrive. This knowledge was passed onto our founder, Negin, and her sister Negar. Together, they help their father continue the family tradition of beekeeping in the Mirsalehi Bee Garden.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
You will learn the (beekeeping) ropes and tips on how to support the bees not only from Gisou founder Negin and her sister, Negar, but from our thriving community of beekeepers around the world who have dedicated their craft to raising awareness around the fundamental role the bees play in our ecosystem. Take a quiz at the end of each class and see how much you’ve learned! .

THE IMPORTANCE AND THE BASICS OF THE BEES

Learn why we depend on bees but also what’s causing the decline in bee populations. Dive into pollination, the composition of a bee colony and the roles of each bee within the colony. Find out the surprising ways in which bees communicate with each other!
BEEKEEPING & MAINTENANCE OF THE COLONIES

Learn the basics of beekeeping: what equipment you need, how a beehive is made up, how to create the best environment for your bees and the difference between urban and rural beekeeping. Take your first step towards becoming a beekeeper!

After you complete all three chapters and successfully answer our quiz questions, you’ll be able to download your certificate of completion to display at home or upload to your socials. Congratulations for making it this far and becoming an ambassador to help support the bees!
